Original oil and mixed media painting on canvas.
66cm x 66cm including frame.
Framed in a beautiful stained ash wood tray frame by Raven Frames.
In this subdued painting Sky’s illustration of a Ground Pangolin is depicted in a desolate environment reflective of its current endangered status – exposed and without protection of forestry. There are eight different species of pangolin in the world all of which are threatened by extinction predominantly due to trafficking. They are poached for their stunning scales and meat. Pangolins defend themselves by shielding into a ball, however this sadly makes them very easy to be taken by poachers.
This painting has been created using a combination of mixed media including oil paint, acrylic paint, collage, pastel, graphite, copper leaf, and image transfers.
Painting comes framed and will be delivered tracked and signed for. If you are local to Sky in Bristol, please feel free to enquire about viewings and collection in person.
