Description

‘Half-Light’

Original oil and mixed media painting on canvas.

63cm x 63cm including frame.

Framed in a beautiful natural ash solid wood frame.

This painting features Sky’s illustration of an American Kestrel darting across a dark haze of mauve and mossy greens. The artwork has a very wild essence suggestive of a rugged landscape somewhere ethereal and untouched. This piece went through many stages of development and therefore is very textured and multi-layered adding further to its intrigue.

The painting has been created using a combination of mixed media including oil paint, acrylic paint, image transfers of Sky’s illustrations, collage, pastel, graphite and copper leaf.
