If you haven’t heard about the new Winter pop-up shop in town already, let me tell you all about it. I feel so proud to have been a part of setting up this incredible project. The shop is a temporary lifestyle store in The Galleries shopping mall and a collaboration of the Bristol Etsy Team, Bristol Girl Bosses collective (which I am a member of), Tribe Aisthetica and Chroma Stationary. The shop will be open everyday between 16th November – 23rd December 2018 and features the handmade goods of over 80 different small locally based businesses! With a lot of hard work and by all pulling together we launched the shop a week ago and the VIP launch party was a huge success! A special thanks goes to The Malago restaurant and Lovely Drinks for providing canapes and fizzy refreshments.

We’ve been extremely lucky to have some amazing support from various local businesses in the running and set-up of the shop. KONK! Furniture have been kind enough to provide the entire shop with their beautiful handmade furniture for display which is also available to buy and be delivered once the shop shuts. The Galleries have also been very accommodating and offered us a wonderfully well located and spacious unit right next to Waterstones on the first floor of the shopping centre.

The first week has been consistently busy and we’ve had an incredible response from the public. If you’re looking for somewhere to buy unique, artisan and beautiful gifts in Bristol this Christmas look no further. Our shop team are always more than happy to help and we have a huge variety of products in the store for any friend or family member you’re shopping for!

SKY SIOUKI EVENTS COMING IN 2017

Hello lovely fans and readers!

As you may have noticed Sky Siouki has been attending increasingly more events this year, and it’s been great in fact! So I am keeping myself busy and booking more and more, trying new places and somewhat just seeing where the wind takes me.

So I thought seeing as I can barely keep up with where I’m going to be and when myself, I ought to create an online Sky Siouki events calendar so that you can all head over to the website and easily check if I will be selling near you anytime soon. So if you look to the right-hand section of the screen you should see a new ‘UPCOMING EVENTS’ list where you can also click to see further details and more dates. Alternatively you can go to https://skysiouki.com/events/ which will take you directly to this nifty calendar! Click the calendar image below to scroll through each month for full times and details of all my events this year.

So some upcoming events I’ll be doing which I have yet to officially announce are…

Bath Artisan Market on Queen Square on August 27th and October 29th.

Springfest Maker’s Fair in Brislington presented by Made In Bristol on July 8th.

A craft showcase at National Trust site Lytes Cary Manor as part of the Somerset Art Weeks Festival on September 23rd & 24th!

Keep reading for details of each below.

Springfest will be the first ever to take place this July in Brislington as part of a community initiative to enhance this area of Bristol. Run by Made In Bristol who organise the ever popular Christmas Gift Fairs at Colston Hall, I was excited to get on board as I’m sure it’ll be a very well put together event. Along with the Maker’s Fair held at St. Cuthbert’s Church there will also be a Love Food Market and special offers from local businesses taking place all day!

The Bath Artisan at Queen Square is a new event this year on the last Sunday of each month and looks like a fantastic day out. It’s in an ideal outdoor setting in central Bath and will be full of independent artists, designer-makers, vintage sellers and local food producers! More photos and details of each market day can be found via the Facebook page here.

Finally, the Craft Showcase weekend at Lytes Cary is a once per year event and I was flattered to be contacted by the organisers and asked to take part. There will be a theme of ‘A Landscape of Objects’ meaning the weekend will include a series of installations, workshops and talks that tie in with the theme of nature and all things botanical. I will have a maker’s pop-up stand where I will be selling my work. Can’t wait to see what other nature inspired creatives will be there!

Next up is my second appearance at the Tobacco Factory Sunday Market on June 25th! Quite intrigued to see how it goes as I have yet to decide if I will be attending more dates at this one or not. I would love to since it is right on my doorstep in sunny Bristol but you’ll have to come along and stock up on coasters if you want to keep seeing me there!
