Original mixed media painting on canvas by Sky Siouki for sale as part of Artist Support Pledge.

This original abstract artwork by Sky Siouki was created in July 2020. Thick patches of teal and lilac oil paint are layered up over quick expressive marks made in pastel and charcoal. A few subtle gold leaf highlights and collaged papers peep out beneath the paint adding a beautiful variety of texture to the piece. The painting features image transfers of Sky’s detailed pelican and leafy branch illustrations, creating the impression of a turgid river scene with the pelican stopping by just briefly at the water’s edge.
