Framed in a beautiful limed ash solid wood tray frame.
This painting was painted towards the end of Sky’s time spent working from the orangery at Blaise Castle Estate in 2021. This was a developmental stage of work for Sky in which she was pushing herself to experiment with working more abstractly and expressively on a larger scale. The composition of this piece took shape quickly in a flurry of swift brushstrokes of deep greens and purples.
The painting has been created using a combination of mixed media including oil paint, acrylic paint, scrim, pastel, graphite and copper leaf.
