32.5cm x 32.5cm including frame.

Framed in a beautiful limed ash wood tray frame by Raven Frames.

This tranquil, soft teal painting features a little poison dart frog who dwells around the streams of Peru’s rainforests. This particular species is called Ameerega Yoshina and is extremely elusive so remaining numbers are unknown but certainly declining. Many species of poison dart frog are endangered due to loss of habitat to human activity such as energy production, mining, logging, road development, and coffee and palm oil farms.

This painting has been created using a combination of mixed media including oil paint, acrylic paint, collage, pastel, graphite, copper leaf, and image transfers.

This painting was sold during the physical Endangered exhibition at ACE Arts in Somerton.

Flow

Skye had her paintings displayed in a gallery locally to my home. I had followed her on Instagram for a while and had some of her beautiful coasters already. I decided to save to buy this painting as I wanted a piece I could appreciate. Not a day goes past when I don’t look at it. Always display in a place you look at everyday. I see something different in the painting when I look at it all the time particularly when the light is different. I will treasure it for ever. It’s stunning.
